In addition to being the Owner of Morgan Arts Complex, Richard A. “Rick” Simon is the President and Chief Executive Officer of United Service Companies. United Service Companies is a Chicago-based parent company of United Maintenance Company, United National Maintenance, United Temps Inc., U.S. Aviation Services Corp., Inc., United Security Services Inc., and Trade Show Executive.

He has been with United Service Companies since its founding in 1965. He rose through the ranks to become its president and CEO in 1985. Under his leadership, United Service Companies has blossomed from a few small accounts in Chicago to thousands of accounts from Washington D.C. to Honolulu, Hawaii. In fact, United National Maintenance is now the largest cleaning contractor of conventions and special events in the United States. Rick’s commitment and passion for service have made United Service Companies one of the fastest growing cleaning, staffing and security companies in America.

As an active contributor to Chicago’s business and tourism industry, Rick serves on many prestigious boards including The Magnificent Mile Association, Gateway Green, The Chicago Police Foundation, The Chicago Police Memorial Foundation and The Illinois Hotel and Lodging Association. Richard has also been an active member of the Chicago Convention and Tourism Bureau since 1980. He is very involved with the International Association of Exhibitions & Events (IAEE), the Society of Independent Show Organizers (SISO) as well as the Exhibition Service Contractors Association (ESCA). Throughout his career, he has been recognized by his industry and peers with numerous awards and was named by Tradeshow Week as one of the most influential people in the trade show industry.

Rick returned from the Republic of Vietnam in the winter of 1969 where he served in the United States Marine Corps from 1967 to 1970. Soon after, he began a dual career serving as a Member, Supervising Member and Command Member in law enforcement in Chicago.

Rick is thrilled that the newly renovated Morgan Arts Complex has finally come to life.  He saw a new use for the 100+ year old Morgan Street building, in the iconic Bridgeport neighborhood in Chicago.  While new life has been brought to this beautiful building, he feels the history is what makes the Morgan Arts Complex uniquely special.

MAC is ideal for filming studios, artist studios, office space, event space and more.

Bridgeport is known as the melting pot neighborhood of Chicago. Home of World Series Champions, the Chicago White Sox, Bridgeport is perfectly located in the heart of culture. Bridgeport is accessible by the CTA Orange Line or the Red Line.

Arts and culture have always been a staple of the community, with many of the residents focusing on how to present themselves and their culture in an artistic form. The locals of the neighborhood hold many art fairs to share their pieces with others.
